East London Canada Day Celebrations

The Optimist Club of East London invites you to celebrate Canada Day at Argyle Arena! Enjoy a day of live music, fireworks, face-painting, giant-Lego, and more! Kids and adults alike can enjoy a free reptile show, inflatable bubble soccer, kick darts, and a baseball pitching radar. Throughout the day, there will be raffles, a free door prize, a selfie booth and more! No need to pack a picnic basket- there will be a cash BBQ and ice cream!
Dominion Day at Fanshawe Pioneer Village

Celebrate Dominion Day the old fashioned way! Start the day off with bubble blowing at Jury House at and then catch a puppet show at Trinity Church. Attend a Dominion Day school lesson at Fanshawe School and then head off to the dance at the Loyal Orange Hall. Try your luck at the Spelling Bee hosted at the Loyal Orange Lodge and then join the Dominion Day celebrations at Lawson Gazebo, where the Schotts will be playing.Enjoy the Mini-Militia with the Royal Scots in Victoria Park. Throughout the day, you can watch blacksmithing demonstrations at the Blacksmith, print shop demonstrations at the Free Press, take a horse-drawn wagon ride, make a whirligig at Corbett Tavern, or visit sawyers at the Harmer Sawmill!
Canada Day at the London Children's Museum

The London Children’s Museum is celebrating Canada Day 2018 with FREE admission. Go on a scavenger hunt through the Children’s Museum’s nine galleries and find stories of exceptional Canadians! Celebrate Canada’s natural heritage with a collaborative outdoor art adventure, explore a maker-space inspired by Canadian inventions, hear stories about Canada’s constellations in the Star Lab, or interact with unique Canadian artifacts, including a real Narwhal tusk, Inuit sop stone carvings and Canadian-made antique toys! Programs run throughout the day between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. in French and English.
Canada Day at Museum London

Enjoy a family-friendly day exploring Canadian history, art, and culture! Wander through Museum London’s current exhibits, two contemporary art and one historic, which explore the topics of Quebec/French Canada and Canadian pop culture, environmentalism and sustainability, and regional Indigenous voices and Anishnaabeg culture. Learn about the exhibits by watching artist and cultural demonstrations, watching Canadian short films, listening to Indigenous storytelling, creating your own art, and exploring pop-up tours.
