Welcome to London Museum School
Move your classroom to the community & feel the thrill of discovery!
The LONDON MUSEUM SCHOOL PROGRAM provides elementary
students with a valuable week of learning and discovery.
This innovative approach to education allows teachers to
move their classroom to a museum setting for a full week of
curriculum-based experiential learning. Daily journal
writing and drawing are integral parts of each day as they
allow students to slow down, observe, reflect and make
connections to the world beyond the classroom. This
interactive,
Award Winning Program enables students to develop their writing, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Teachers work in partnership with museum educators to
deliver a program that is rich with hands-on, authentic
learning activities that result in student success.
Programming is shared between the museum staff/volunteers
and the classroom teacher who has access to the various
exhibits and resources of the museum site. The week-long
schedule of activities consists of both museum-led programs
and teacher-planned activities and instructional time.
