Imagine a classroom with dinosaurs, caves, polar bears, space shuttles, a tree house, a vibrant community street – and watch science, heritage and arts come alive! Explore hands-on galleries and venture behind the scenes with the Children’s Museum as your Museum School classroom.
Location & Mandate
London Regional Children’s Museum is located just west of downtown London on Wharncliffe Road South. Located in a former school house, the Children’s Museum is an exciting place for children and their adults to explore, discover, and learn.
Program Information
The Children’s Museum offers a wide range of interactive curriculum connected programs for students in grades JK through 6. Classroom teachers select a theme and the Museum’s Education Specialists plan a tailor-made, curriculum connected, unforgettable week of hands-on learning and discovery catering to the teacher and classroom’s specific needs.
The remainder of the time is planned and facilitated by the classroom teacher using the various exhibits and resources of the site. Teachers often re-visit the topics introduced during the museum-led sessions to reinforce the concepts previously learned.
