Training & Professional Development
Through discussions and consultations with a number of
organizations during 2008, it became clear that there is an
obvious need for local training opportunities for those
working in the heritage and cultural sector. The
London Heritage Council will launching a training program to
meet the needs of the sector including grant writing,
front-line staff visitor services, digitization and
emergency and disaster planning. Please see below for

Emergency and Disaster Preparedness For Cultural
Institutions
February 15th-19th 2010 - Eldon House Interpretive Centre
In partnership with the London Heritage Council (LHC) and the
City of London, institutions in London are in the process of creating a City wide
emergency and disaster plan based on this informative two-day course.
Hosted by the LHC and delivered by the Canadian Conservation
Institute, these experts were able to share past experiences and
plans for the future with attendees from local museums, cultural
institutions, the City of London, and the LHC. Click below for
