Welcome to the Thames Valley Regional Heritage Fair
The Thames Valley Regional Heritage Fair Program is a
multi-media learning initiative developed to increase public
awareness and interest in Canadian history and heritage.
The goal of the Program is to offer students the opportunity to
explore the many aspects of their Canadian heritage in a dynamic
learning environment and to present the results of their efforts
in a public exhibition. Students can use any medium of choice to
tell stories and share information about Canadian heroes and
legends, milestones and achievements.
The Thames Valley Regional Heritage Fair invites businesses and
other organizations in the community to actively participate in
the event by assisting students with their projects, providing
materials and in-kind resources, hosting workshops and placing
displays at the Fair.
| An Invitation to Teachers
The Thames Valley
Regional Heritage Fair is an opportunity to
include your entire school in an exciting and
dynamic educational event!
By participating in the program, teachers from
all departments (social sciences and humanities,
history, literature, language and immersion,
science and technology, arts and crafts, etc.)
encourage their students to learn more about
their history while developing and expressing
their creative talents.
By putting together an interdisciplinary program
in your school, your students will be proud to
participate in your school’s own unique Fair. |
